The Person Behind the Guide

Hi, I'm Lizzette Torrico, founder of Living in Pembroke Pines.
I've proudly called Pembroke Pines home for more than 30 years. Over the decades, I've watched our city grow, celebrated life's milestones here with family and friends, discovered incredible local businesses, and built lasting relationships throughout the community.
After years working in marketing, business development, and both residential and commercial real estate—and earning a Master of Science in Marketing from Florida International University—I created Living in Pembroke Pines to become the trusted local guide I always wished our community had — one place where residents and newcomers can easily discover the best restaurants, events, parks, local businesses, and everything that makes our city special. My husband is also a licensed real estate broker, and together we help people relocate to Pembroke Pines. If you're considering a move, check out our Moving to Pembroke Pines guide for everything you need to know.
I believe local businesses are the heart of our community, and I love connecting residents with the people and places that make Pembroke Pines such a wonderful place to live.
Whether you're searching for your next favorite restaurant, planning a weekend with your family, looking for a trusted local service, considering a move to the area, or simply exploring the city, I hope Living in Pembroke Pines helps you discover something new and experience the very best our community has to offer.
This city has been the backdrop for some of my family's happiest memories, and creating Living in Pembroke Pines is my way of giving back to the community that's been home for so many years.
Thank you for being part of this growing community. I'm so glad you're here.
Welcome to Living in Pembroke Pines! 💋
